Robert L. Cole, 64, Monmouth died on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at OSF Holy Family Medical Center, Monmouth, IL. Services are 11 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Bewley Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Aledo cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Robert Cole memorial fund.

Mr. Cole was born February 21, 1945 in Aledo, IL, the son of Roy and Helen Arna Lingafelter Cole. He married Mary Ann Talley on April 6, 1969 in Monmouth.

Robert was a farmhand. He enjoyed his children and grandchildren. He loved to fish and enjoyed visiting with friends.

Survivors (and spouses) include his sons, Frank (Gena) Cole, Kirkwood, IL and Carl (Nicole) Cole, Galesburg, IL; sister, Barb Kelly, FL; brother, Bob Hofer, Arkansas; grandchildren, Kale, Summer, Eric, Travis and Mason Cole, Nathan and Jason Dean and great-grandson, Brayden Thomas. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, LaJune Cole; sister, Evelyn Wolfe and nephew, Eric Wolfe.
