Charles "Chuck" Williams, 60, of Reynolds, died Thursday, June 7, 2007 at Mercer County Hospital, Aledo, IL. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Bewley Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Aledo. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to service time. Burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Chuck Williams Memorial fund.

Chuck was born May 26, 1947, in Rock Island, IL, the son of Charles Delbert and Frances Marie Weeks Williams. He married Carolyn D. Taylor October 29, 1979 in Rawlings, WY.

Chuck was a self-employed carpenter.

Chuck was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church, the Carpenters Union, the Musicians Union and the National Riflemen Association. He enjoyed camping, fishing, boating and bowling.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn; daughters, Dawn (Bob) Walsh, Cable, IL, Sarah (Dave) Foor, New Boston, IL, Charlee Stott, Dixon, IA; stepson, Stuart (Cassie) Handley Coal Valley, IL ; stepdaughters, Piper (Toby) Smith, Peoria, IL, Cyndi Handley, Aledo; brother, Vern Williams, Rock Island, IL; sisters, Verna (Harlin) Morgan, Doniphen, MO, Juanita Johnston, East Moline, IL, Jo Ann (Leonard) Van Getson, Moline, IL; sister-in-law, Jane Williams, Aledo; 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Delmer and sister, Shirley.
