Shirley A. Trimble, 74, of Keithsburg, IL died Saturday, June 27, 2009 at Trinity Medical Center West Campus, Rock Island, IL. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorial services are 2 p.m. Sunday at Bewley Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Aledo. Burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross.

Mrs. Trimble was born January 4, 1935 in Barren Hill, PA, the daughter of Harry & Anne Schaub Steinmetz. She married William Trimble, Sr. on September 12, 1953 in Chester Hill, PA.

Shirley was a housewife and mother. She loved birds, crossword puzzles and her Schwan ice cream man. She loved to watch her Philadelphia Phillies and Flyers teams.

Survivors (and spouses) include her husband of 56 years, William; children, Sheryl (Steve) Cahoone, Keithsburg, IL, Linda (Joe) Watson, Warminster, PA, William J. (Ellie) Trimble, Jr., Mobile, AL, Kathy (Russell) Klick, Keithsburg, IL, Brian (Christa) Trimble, Horsham, PA, Jeffrey Trimble, West Chester, PA; grandchildren, Stacey Beekley, William, David and Christopher Rose, Brice Trimble, all of PA, Brandon, Jessica, Ashley and Ryan Klick, Keithsburg; great-grandchildren, Kristen Mae and Wayne Beekley; sisters, Marie Burnhardt and Ethyle Earnest; and brothers, Harry, George and Gerald Steinmetz all of PA. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Anne Boice and Dorothy Webb and brother, Gilbert Steinmetz.
