Peggy Helton, of Matherville died on her 66th birthday, Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at Trinity Medical Center West Campus, Rock Island, Illinois. A celebration of Peggy's life will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at Bewley Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Aledo. A time of visitation will follow until 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Peggy Helton memorial fund. Burial will be at a later date.

Peggy was born April 15, 1943 in Wellsville, Ohio, the daughter of George Edward and Mildred Mae Jones Pinkerton. She married Joseph Helton in Mexico.

Peggy enjoyed fishing, craft work with beads and loved collecting angels.

Survivors include her children, Robert Lee Wylie and Sue Pearson both of Matherville, Carl Magill, and Melinda Anne, both of Ohio and 8 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph; twins who died at birth; 3 brothers and 1 sister.
