Jean Lowe
Juanita Jean Lowe, 66, Aledo, went to be with The Lord on Wednesday, November 21, 2007. Services will be 2:30 Tuesday at the United Methodist Church of Aledo. Visitation will be 4:30 to 7 p.m. Monday at Bewley Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Aledo. Burial will be at the Aledo Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church of Aledo. Jean was born December 15, 1940 in Moline, the daughter of Eldon and Mary Louise Hendrix LeMaster and was raised by Alan and Mary Louise Hendrix Swisher. She married John "Jack" Lowe in Rock Island on December 20, 1958. He died in May 2000. Jean was a housewife and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an active member of the United Methodist Church as a Sunday School Teacher, Hand Bell Choir, Miriam Circle, United Methodist Women's Group and recently re-elected as the Sunday School Superintendent. Jean enjoyed needlepoint, puzzles, crafts, knitting, sewing for the grandchildren, Friday Night Card games and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors (and spouses) are her children, Cynda (Tim) Kistler, Morrison, IL, Kim (Jim) Sayers, Davenport, IA, Dean Lowe, Muscatine, IA and Kelly (Jerry) Fleener, Rock Island, IL; 11 grandchildren, Adam and Matthew Kistler, Elizabeth Logel, Haley, Krissy and Scott Giles, Tyler and Michael DeRoo, Jennifer, Brian and Amanda Fleener; 7 great grandchildren, Jasmine, John "J.J.", Samantha, Evan, Kaylee, Cassandra and Jaret; father, Alan Swisher, Milan, IL; brothers, Kenneth LeMaster, Strawberry Point, IA, Richard Swisher, Milan, IL; aunt Joanne Jennings, Milan, IL; uncles, Jack Hendrix, Rock Island, IL, and Bob Hendrix. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; mother, Mary Swisher; birth father, Eldon LeMaster; brother, Steve Swisher and uncle Kenneth Hendrix.
