Jim R. Finch

Jim R. Finch, 75, of Aledo, IL, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2011 at Mercer County Nursing Home, Aledo, IL. Memorial services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bewley Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Aledo. Visitation is 5 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Aledo cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Jim Finch memorial fund.

Jim was born Feb. 25, 1936 in New Boston, the son of Roy and Dorathy Vianna Taylor Finch. He retired in 2001 as a cement finisher for Brandt Construction. Jim served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed snowmobiling, fishing, his grandchildren and cutting wood.

Survivors (and spouses) include his children; Tom & Mary Finch, LaSalle, IL, Randy & Mary Lee Finch, Melody Mitchell Finch and Nathan & Megan Finch, all of Aledo; grandchildren, Beth Ann Larson, Chasity Dawn Holmquist, Brook Ann Nelson, Jessica Lynn, Josie, Nicole and Madison Finch; great grandchildren, Clayton James Nelson, Hunter Larson, Greta Holmquist, Ella Larson, Peyton Ellermeyer, Addy Holmquist, Lilly Larson and one lovingly expected in December; sisters, Thelma Robbins, Edna Rose Fields, Patti Brock, Leah & Kenny Finley and brothers, Don & Elly, Rod & Lois, Gary & Debbie and Roy Allen Finch. He was preceded in death by his son, Jay Howard Finch; parents, Roy & Dorathy Finch; brothers, Albert, Marion and Harry and sisters, Irmma Mae and Barbara Jean.
