Please accept my condolences on the loss of Allen. I know how hard it is to lose a loved one, and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I called Aunt Ardath to inform her of Allen's death and she immediately said, "We will have to go." Then looked outside and said, "No, we can't". Even though she will not be there she wanted you to know how fondly she remembers Allen from the time he lived with grandmother and grandfather Welty while he was going to high school. They were more like cousins in age than aunt and nephew. Nancy

I want to let the family know that I am thinking about them at this difficult time. I do not remember having met Allen but I remember his father vividly and have had the pleasure of meeting his son Allen at Welty reunions. It is always so difficult to lose someone that you love, someone who has always been there for you. Such an empty spot that is left behind. My heart goes out to all of his family as you try to fill that emptiness with his loving memories of which you must have had many. God be with you during this time of mourning.
